They were younger, we were older but it did not matter then and is forgotten now. Shonky is that rare breed of producer that constantly finds its way into your set without ever showing off. Not that Shonky’s music is unassuming. It’s solid AND trippy. 4 tracks on the 12”, four tracks that hit differently, finding a sure way back to that sweet spot, where those overrated barriers between house/techno/xxx (fill accordingly) dissolve into heads down ecstasy.
