Description
Lunatics are back with offering number six, and it’s a feral one. Welcome to the fold Ugomo AKA Jonathan Pardede of Sunmantra and one of Jakarta’s finest. He brings his analog machines, guitar pedals and a drummer’s brain that refuses to switch off. Four tracks tickle the big sound system’s fancy, featuring drum workouts and acid throughout, with a big sweaty nod to the old school.
Preambule is no polite introduction: drums, acid and synths wind you up like a workout you didn’t sign up for, then a chainsaw cuts straight through you at the end.
Trigger picks up exactly where we left off, except now the machines have woken up angry, pumping, chugging and relentless drums. Offfftttt.
Flip it over and Agitated is another trip, and not a relaxing one, full percussion workout right in your face with no apologies, so stretch first.
Feral State closes the mission: we’ve landed on a new planet, the dust is settling, and we’re ready to explore, the perfect comedown for a record that’s been trying to kill you all along.
Chainsaws, chugging machines, full-blown percussion workouts and landing on a brand new planet. Feral State by Ugomo is Lunatic 006: drums, acid and old-school attitude from start to finish.
