Description
For its inaugural release, Ambelion Records presents The Long Way EP by label founder Nico Forster, marking the beginning of a project shaped by more than two decades immersed in underground electronic music. A DJ, producer, live performer and lifelong record collector, Forster has developed his musical identity through years behind the decks, in the studio and performing live, moving naturally between house, minimal, breaks and electro while remaining firmly rooted in groove.
The four tracks on The Long Way EP originate from compositions developed throughout the last ten years of Forster’s work as a live performer, evolving over time through different setups, sessions and performances before ultimately taking their final form on vinyl. The title reflects not only the journey behind these recordings, but the path that led to the creation of Ambelion itself.
Built around the idea of “Timeless Music for Cult Selectors,” Ambelion is conceived as a home for underground music that exists beyond trends and genres — records with character, made to endure and to remain in the DJ’s crate long after their release. In that sense, AMB001 is both the culmination of a long personal journey and the starting point for what comes next.
